Dear Pastor Johnson & Cornerstone Baptist Church,
Our attendance is climbing! Sunday mornings in May – 65-67-76-81-79. If you would pray for Hudson, 17, Naiará, 10, and William & Sandielem, a young couple almost 20, with an 11-month-old son. These have shown conviction of sin in the services and asked for prayer for salvation.
God has opened the door for me to preach weekly to the YOUTH-POLICE. These young people (75 of them!) have signed up and committed to training to be policemen. I do not like this organization; it has taken about 10 kids out of our SS & church services! However, I get to preach to them, half of them on Wednesday morning, and half of them on Wednesday afternoon. I am developing friendship with them by going an hour early (like they do). An old man of God, with 12 to 18-year-olds, from mostly dysfunctional families. I wear jeans and a white T-shirt like they do and teach them Scripture and pray with and for them.
I have had to assume responsibility for the very first church we started 40 years ago. We are having to organize church and reestablish it. Praise the Lord, we still have the property there, the pastor’s residence and all, but have inherited a bad testimony. There are about seven members, and 12 others that attend. I do have a worker who preaches and visits, but it is going to be a financial burden and require more time than I have. We will change the church façade and the church name. Please make this a matter of prayer.
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
