Dear Pastor Johnson & Cornerstone Baptist Church,
Wednesday night a 13-year-old boy said he got his salvation right! I have sent his name to you before. Please pray for Eliel.
We are hitting the 90’s in Sunday School, using promotions. Please pray for SS teachers. We really need to divide in classes. We have been receiving some rain showers, so with the changing of the seasons, we started our bus routes last Sunday. We had approximately 50 riders.
We are barely hitting 20, in our evening services. EVERYTHING in this culture (I sure it is the same there!) works against the work of the Lord. In our town of somewhere over 10,000 people, who don’t work at 24/7 restaurants 12-hour shifts and all days off have to be weekdays, work at mining companies with weekly rotating shifts that keep them from being faithful church attenders.
The spine treatment that I received on our trip last month only helped for a couple of weeks. That is very disappointing, but there are other options for me when we furlough in 2023.
Please continue to pray with us for the Schmidt’s return to Brazil, they plan on being here before Thanksgiving!
I grew up in a small Texas town where my family attended and were members of a Baptist Church where (it seems like) we sang “The Doxology” every service! ( Doxology – an expression of praise to God.)
The congregation lifted their voices to sing:
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSING FLOW”
To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. Romans 16:27
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17
Thank you for your prayers!
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
