Since I last wrote, we have had two “Mighty Men’s” meetings. Both were well attended. Pray with us as we work to encourage men to not only “come to church”, but also to take hold on the reins that guide their families, and to serve the Lord under their God–established place as head of the home and leaders of the Local New Testament Baptist Church, the Body of Christ.
Having implemented the new schedule for Saturday nights for 2023 that I recently told you about, it seems to me to be a lot more work than simply having church services! Saturday the 11th, Cindy will be teaching the women “of all ages” who come this month. She has a heavy burden, not only to win more of these to Christ, but also to teach them, (contrary to modern day culture), that in order to be pleasing to Christ, they are… To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands…Titus 2:5 I am sure I don’t have to tell you how well that is accepted! Please pray for her when you receive this letter. The liar, and father of lies, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan has certainly done a bang-up job in this culture of leaving way too many sons and daughters without a father in the home, or a mother at home to raise them!
Our yearly Family Camp starts on the 17th. We will have about 50 campers. Even though we will have a good representation of families, we will have a good group of adolescents and young people above 10 years old to hear the Word and “watch us”, observing our lives “in Christ” here at camp.
Our theme for this year is …exhort one another daily… from Hebrews 3:13. We hope to bring that to the forefront of our 4-day, 5-night camp! We ask that you pray to that end. There will be a good number of unsaved young people present. To many, this is about playing games and having fun, but to those of us in His service, it is a sea for us to fish for souls!
