Dear praying friends,
What an exciting start to the new year we have had! Praise the Lord, I was privileged to baptist five believers on New Year’s Day at Living Hope Baptist Church. Our little building was once again packed out! Three of these five were saved within the last six months. God is at work, and it is so exciting to see some fruit. There has been lots of planting and watering, but it is all God who brings in the increase.
Our first anniversary Sunday was on Jan. 22, and we had such a sweet time celebrating together. We are so thankful for our home church, especially our dear friend and pastor Trent Cornwell, who flew up just for this special occasion. I don’t know how it has already been a year since we started Living Hope! We were looking at pictures of when we first started in our little building, remembering that for some services we only had a couple of people. Then watching God fill it up through this past year has been so exciting! Please keep praying with us for a bigger building. We had a family stop coming because it was too crowded for them. The family that came last month through our children’s Christmas program has since started coming each week, and it’s been exciting to see them get plugged in. We are still praying for salvation for a few faithful attendees, and we have another person ready for baptism! Would you also pray with us for another family to come alongside to help us, as the need for more ministries is arising? I have started discipleship with another young man, and Amber has three ladies she is discipling now. Our congregation’s desire for growth is so evident, and the need for laborers is still great here.
We are officially a church now! Praise the Lord! We were able to have our charter service on the evening of our anniversary Sunday! Seeing people committed to the local church’s mission of spreading the Gospel worldwide is a blessing. It is exciting to see people wanting to join and participate in all this!
