Dear Pastors, Friends, and Family,
We returned to Germany a month ago from a short furlough in the States. It was great to see our church people again and catch up with them. We are still doing our midweek service through zoom. Just this last week, we went to a family’s house and had pizza before our Bible study. We even had a couple of new people join, which was nice. We are looking forward to the summer when we can do some outreach activities in the park. We are thinking about a children’s activity, as well as ladies’ breakfasts and maybe even a movie or game night.
We had a good time with our family. We started by seeing Kameron graduate from Air Force Basic Training. That was such a remarkable time! He was also able to take some time off for Christmas. We were able to be with our family in Missouri for two weeks during this time, which was sweet! We also stayed very busy reporting to churches, in that we visited 11 churches during the month of January. Three of these were new, and it was great to meet some new people. One highlight of our trip was spending a couple of weeks with our grandson, who was five months at the time. It was fun to interact with him and watch him laugh.
The last week of our time in the States was not what we expected. During our mission conference in Tucson, we got the news that Walter’s dad had passed away. We knew this would be soon, and we were grateful for the time we had during Christmas with the family. God made it possible for us to drive to Missouri so we could attend the funeral.
I am still doing a podcast to reach out. This is just a short devotional that I upload to Spotify and Apple and I’ve entitled it The Devotional from Rhein River Baptist Church. I would love for you listen and get your feedback on this.
Please keep our church in prayer. Pray that we will find more ways to reach out in the community and that we can be a light where God has placed us!
Thank you for your prayers and support. Your Missionaries in Germany,
Walter Clark and family
