Dennis and Lee Deneau – Bearing Precious Seed

Dennis and Lee Deneau - Bearing Precious Seed

On Thursday, May 12th we shipped another container of Scripture from our home church, Second Baptist Church in Festus, MO to Thailand for Missionary Curtis Hall And BEST Missions.

Due to the difficulty of finding containers and ships it is next to impossible to organize a specific day and time for loading and shipping a container as part of a conference as we have done for the past twenty years. We now have to load containers with little notice of a time the shipping company can provide a container. This leaves us most often with little man power to load boxes. Praise the Lord for men from our home church, nearby Seedline churches and forklifts!

This container held 183,210 John and Romans, 59,000 tracts and 2,240 Whole Bibles in several different languages.

The Lord recently provided a storage container to help with the overflow we are experiencing due to the time it is taking to ship containers. We were able to place this container on our home church’s camp site which is right down the road from where our new house is!

God is faithful in providing for our every need!

Please pray with us concerning a larger facility for our ministry. We are continually looking for space to store the Scripture coming from the press and awaiting shipment. Although, this is a challenge it is also a blessing to see how the Lord has allowed the ministry to grow over the years. For now, we will use what resources we have whether it is the print shop, the bus barn, a garage or a storage container.

We appreciate your prayers as we know that in God’s time, He will provide.

We always enjoy news and pictures from the mission field! We recently received pictures from Missionary Curtis Hall with BEST Missions in Thailand of The Seed leaving the barn. What a blessing when The Seed is placed in the hands of the people. Souls are being reached and souls are being saved as a result of God’s Word.

We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do!

By C.H. Spurgeon

It is the everlasting faithfulness of God that makes a Bible promise “exceeding great and precious”.

Human promises are often worthless. Many a broken promise has left a broken heart. But since the world was made God has never broken a single promise made to one of His trusting children.

Samuel Martin Update:

Patience is a hard thing! As it says in James 5:7-8, “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” We don’t always understand what the Lord is directing in our lives and ministry but we do know that He will reveal His plan in due time. Until then, we must be patient, trusting that He is working for His glory and our benefit.

Since our Spring Newsletter, the progress for containers and shipping has been slow. We currently have enough Scripture to fill six containers for the mission fields but we are still having difficulty shipping them. We shipped a container of Thai Scripture in May which arrived in Thailand on July 6th. Bro. Hall went to Thailand and was able to see many pastors and people who have received the previous shipments of John and Romans, New Testaments and Whole Bibles. It’s wonderful to know that many souls have been saved as the result of God’s Word.

During the month of July we are gathering all the Scripture for the Nigerian container and will be loading the container in Georgia. We have located a warehouse for the mass collecting of the Scripture with a promise of shipping it soon. After contacting several shipping companies, I was told of this possibility. However, it is rather difficult to get shipments into Africa at this time. Few ships go there because their profit margin is low and not many products are being shipped out of Africa. Africa also has very restrictive regulations making imports difficult to clear upon arrival. The difficulty and struggle for all of this is worth the effort in order to get God’s Word to precious souls.

The second area we are challenged with is paper for the covers. Little progress is being made in this area as well. I have been able to purchase several smaller quantities of cover stock which has only allowed us to print 238,000 covers this year. I am grateful we were able to print at least this much but, please pray that we can find the cover stock for the additional 500,000 needed for current projects.

In May I was able to go to Indiana for a BEST conference. I was also able to get meetings in a couple new churches. Praise the Lord, Maranatha Baptist Church in Newburgh joined with us in support. We also took 12,000 Scriptures to Landmark Baptist Church in Evansville. We were able to collate, staple, cut and box them as part of their conference. The folks from area churches enjoyed getting to work Scripture for the Philippines.

On a personal note, in April I received a phone call concerning my Mother. I had to make an emergency trip to Kansas and take her to the doctor, because she was confused and scared. I took Mom to the doc- tor and found no physical ailment, but her mental state was drastically different. Upon looking around her home and listening to her, I realized that she was not mentally alert and very confused. After three days I had to move her into our home with Barb and I to take care of her. Two months has passed filled with doctor visits. They have diagnosed her with rapid onset dementia. This is compounded with poor heart and kidney function, as well as hearing and eyesight limitations. I am privileged to be able to care for her, but this has forced us to make several changes as we have to provide daily care for her.

I will be doing meetings and Scripture distribution, but can not be away for more than a day or two at a time. Barb or I must be with her at all times, giving her medications and taking care of her needs. Please pray for us and Mom as we adjust to this new routine.

Dennis Deneau Update:

SUMMER! I am surprised how quickly time flies, and praise the Lord for the little bit it seems we do for Him in these fleeting days. God has blessed greatly in the past few months, although we have again had many doctor’s appointments in the last few weeks! (No new serious issues-Praise God!)

As a ministry, we are still struggling with the paper shortages and escalating costs. But, God is finding other ways to provide our needs to increase our production this year and reach even more lost souls. The Lord also has opened up the shipping container shortage we faced earlier this year, and we are rejoicing to hopefully soon send out another 300,000 (plus) portions of the Word of God! Praise God!

Taking some serious time to reflect on all the Lord has done for us in the past 40 years of ministry, I stand amazed! Nearly 40 years ago, when I first met Dr. Don Fraser, the man to whom God had given the Bearing Precious Seed ministry, I was awe struck by that man’s vision to reach the world with the Gospel. A friend of his had a ship that he offered to Bro. Fraser if he could fill it with Scriptures. It would probably have held about 87 containers in those days, and he was willing to deliver tons and tons of the Word of God at no charge to the ministry! Sadly, that was a “ship that never set sail” as there were not enough churches printing the Word of God to provide the over 26 MILLION Scripture portions that could have gone around the world for FREE! But God was not hindered and everything works out in His timing. To date, I am sure that more than that amount of Scripture portions have gone forth, and missionaries around the world are using the “same” marked edition John & Romans to reach the lost.

We are still shipping containers filled with God’s Word on a regular basis, as He provides the ships. It is a miracle how the Lord continues to send in the money for paper to print on. And, then, He sends us the folks we need to do the assembly and prep work. Finally, He provides the money to ship the Scriptures so He can reap a harvest! Do not slack to pray with us as we prepare to soon load and ship another container of completed Scripture portions.

We recently had a church to drop our support, and within days, God sent two new churches to send support. He also had two churches to send in larger checks toward the purchase of our next semi-truck load of paper! Praise God!

We are preparing to return to our home church in Missouri and work in the printshop again while we are there. Always so much to do in the work of the Lord. We are so thankful for faithful helpers. Praise God!

I trust the Lord will give us health and strength to continue traveling and encouraging churches and folks in those churches to pray for the Word of God to go forth and to find ways in which they can personally be involved in spreading the Gospel to the lost world.

Thank you for everyone who prayed for us recently. Lee’s sister went Home to the Lord the day before Easter, and many of the family were able to attend the funeral as well as a pre-scheduled family reunion in early June, which enabled the sadness to be overwhelmed by all of the precious memories recalled. God is good, and He heals the broken- hearted. Pray for those still lost in the family and for everyone you know that has suffered the loss of a family member recently.

Pray for us as we travel. We have quite a few trips planned for Scripture distribution. We will also be making a trip to Tennessee to pick up new equipment. Many hours are spent on the road distributing Scripture from the press to our seedline churches. The Fall schedule is filling up quickly with meetings and conferences too.

We are continuing to pray concerning a space to hold Scripture that is waiting for distribution to seedline churches or preparing for shipment to the mission field. The ministry is continuing to grow and we are simply out of room. Please pray for the Lord’s direction and provisions concerning a building for the ministry. We know that the Lord already has everything planned out and His timing is always perfect.

Thank you for your prayers and support!

Feel free to contact us if you would like a representative to visit your church and present the ministry of WORLD MISSIONS BEARING PRECIOUS SEED.

We are a faith promise ministry providing scripture free of charge to missionaries, church planters and struggling churches both in the U.S. and Abroad as the Lord provides. or 573.433.6593

World Missions Bearing Precious Seed is a Scripture publishing ministry of Second Baptist Church in Festus, Missouri. We are an Independent Baptist printing ministry helping Independent Baptist Churches of like faith get the gospel to their missionaries around the world.

WMBPS has printed over 18.5 million Scripture portions and sent them to missionaries overseas and to struggling and/or new church plants here in the United States. We currently have 46 seedline churches that help to make this possible.

WMBPS Seedline is a local church who has hands on involvement with publishing the Word of God. This is made possible by taking the printed page, collating it, placing the cover on the Scripture, stapling it, cutting the Scripture and boxing them for the mission field.

This ministry is easy, enjoyable and a great opportunity to involve the whole family. Young and old alike can get involved in this “hands-on” ministry. It’s a time of sweet fellowship as a church family!

Feel free to contact us if your church is interested in setting up a seedline ministry for your church.

Bro. Miles Wallis and Talking Rock Road Baptist Church has been a tremendous blessing to the ministry over the last few years. Bro. Wallis has hauled millions of Scripture for us with his semi truck and trailer, covering thousands of miles all over the U.S.

Bro. Miles is seeking support to help keep cover the costs of fuel and maintenance for his truck and trailer. He is a hard worker and a tremendous blessing to the Scripture ministry. He is worthy of your support if you feel the Lord’s leading.

The following is a short caption and a picture taken from their new Facebook page. Check it out!

Hello friends, Our ministry is not a new ministry however, we are new to Facebook. We want to stay connected more with our family, friends, and supporters. So, I have finally decided to step into the 21st-century and have a Facebook page for our ministry.

One of the main reasons I have not done this before now is because of time constraints. I do not want it to take away time from doing the ministry. I am so busy that I’m just afraid I won’t have time to keep it updated. Thankfully, one of our ministry friends has volunteered to help me with our page. I know it is important to stay connected, and I do see the need to help get the word out about our ministry. We look forward to sharing with you all that God is doing in His ministry.

Please keep us in your prayers and tell someone about Jesus today!
