Gonciulea Family to Romania

Dear Brother Pastor and Church,

I want to greet you with 2 Peter 1:2 ”Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,”. Our lives depend of these two important things, grace because we are saved by grace and peace because we live in a troubled world.

The summer is over and a new school year has just begun. The summer was a blessed time for our family and our ministry. We had great opportunities to serve the Lord with children and youth ministry but also continue to be involved in the Ukrainian war crisis.

This summer we had two VBS weeks. One in Severin and one in Rogova at the Manna feeding center. In Severin we had the theme ”Adventures on the Sea of Life.” We learn great lessons from the lives of different people that were on a boat in the Bible like Noah, Jonah, Peter, our Lord Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul. In Rogova we had another theme ”Master Chef.” The children could learn interesting things from the American, Greek and Italian cuisine but the most important thing was that they could learn from the Master Chef, our Lord Jesus Christ the key ingredients for a blessed life: trust, obedience and diligence.

The VBS programs were a blessing for our churches. We had over 100 children attending and now we have three families that are coming to church. One of them is the family of Marius, the man that we presented to you last prayer letter. We invited him and his wife Simona to have dinner with us and after 4 hours of discussions he agreed to visit our church. He loved the church program and decided to continue to come. Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers!

This year God blessed our church and our families with new born babies. In Psalm 127:3 Solomon says “ Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: In the last year God blessed our church with 7 babies. This summer we had 3 baby dedication services. We had a good opportunity to preach on the subject of family and how important is to assume the responsibility of living and teaching the Word of God to our children. Please pray for these babies and their families. About the Ukrainian war crisis, we have continued to send food, supplies and also Christian literature and Bibles to Ukrainian. The front line moved away from the city of Odessa, where we are transporting the supplies so the people that are distributing the supplies are safe, praise the Lord! But the threat is still present so please continue to pray for them. The group of refugees from Manna Father’s House, Romania left to go back to Odessa. Before they left, we went with them and bought supplies so they have the necessary things until they will settle back in their homes. They told us that they will continue to go to church in Odessa. Please continue to pray for them.

In August the company that provides natural gas to the city, connected our church to the pipeline. What a blessing! Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers and also for your support!

I want to thank you for your faithfulness. I am so blessed to have you by my side in these difficult times. I want to thank you for all your prayers and support. You are in my prayers and in my heart.

With love in Christ,
Rica Gonciulea
