Dear Brother Pastor and Church,
I want to greet you with 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” It is true that we are living in difficult times. Times of war, times of economic crisis and medical crisis, and it is easy to get discouraged and maybe sometimes hard to be thankful. But if we are changing our perspective, from the troubled world to our self, our attitude, our feelings should change. If we are looking closely at our life we can identify many reasons to be thankful to the Lord, and the biggest reason to be thankful is for His sacrifice, in which we are saved. Even if the world falls apart, our heavenly mansion is being prepared for us.
We also celebrated Thanksgiving here in Romania at the beginning of October. It was a great opportunity to gather the three churches to fellowship. We had a two‐hour service Sunday morning and during the church service the brothers and sisters had the opportunity to express their thankfulness singing songs and recite poems giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, the children had their program and the church rejoiced seeing them so excited to praise the Lord. After the main message we had a Bible Quiz for children and adults with delicious prizes. God is good, all the time!
We continue to be involved over the border in Ukraine. The cities of Herson and Nikolaiev were freed from Russian occupation and the civilians were advised to move in safer cities. The threats are still present. The Russians continue to bomb different civilian areas. In the last shipment of food supplies (worth of $4,500), we bought 2,400 New Testaments in Ukrainian. We want to thank you for supporting this ministry. The pastors, the brothers and sisters from Ukraine, want to thank you, BBFI and Manna Worldwide for everything you are doing for them! May God bless you!
In our churches the youth ministry and the AWANA clubs are growing and we praise the Lord for the opportunities we have to share the Gospel with new children and their parents. The teenager group grew from 13 to 28 last Friday. They are excited about the new Bible study theme, which is “Value wisely”.
Also, the AWANA program grows both in Rogova and Severin. In Rogova we have 36 children and in Severin we have 32 children enrolled in the program. We are excited to see how the children are active during the Bible lessons and they are learning all the Bible verses. But also we are excited to see that their parents are excited about the AWANA program. Peter and Stelian`s mother thanked us and has good words of appreciation for us every single time she is brings them to AWANA. Please pray for all the parents that they will see and understand the power of the Gospel.
We want to share with you also a need for the AWANA program. In January we will have the AWANA Store for both locations Rogova and Severin. We are estimating a $2,000 cost for the products that the children will buy with their AWANA points. Please pray that we will be able to cover the amount for each location.
I want to thank you for your faithfulness. I am so blessed to have you by our side in these difficult times. We want to thank you for all your prayers and support without you we will not be able to do what we do. You are in our prayers and in our hearts.
With love in Christ,
Your missionary to Romania
