Eustace and Tracie Kariuki to Kenya

Dear Pastor and Cornerstone Baptist Church,

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This is a great encouragement to us. No matter how difficult it gets, God is going to work it all out for the better, which is to conform us to the image of His Son. Let us be encouraged as we continue to seek the Lord.

In our last prayer letter, I shared that the doctor had sent my blood work to Mayo Clinic for a second opinion. The results came back and I have a condition called Spherocytosis. This is a condition that affects the red blood cells. Because the knee was the point of weakness, that is why I am feeling constant pain. The doctor has me doing a few things to see if it will help. Tracie has been seriously struggling with her allergies so we have a scheduled appointment with a doctor to see if we can help get her allergies under control. For now, we will be here in the States so that Tracie can see the doctor. I will be returning to Kenya in October to teach a modular at the Bible college, check on Tracie’s ID card, also check on the church property progress, and other ministries that are pending. My plan is to come back in November for a doctor’s appointment as the doctor wants to see if there has been any improvement.

I have also heard back from the government that my paperwork has been accepted and updated. Lord willing, I am due to take my exam for naturalization to become an American citizen during that time also. In the process of all of this, we continue to be involved in our home/sending church as much as possible. I also started back to school. I don’t like to sit idle. I am working on my Doctor of Ministry at Luther Rice College and Seminary. To be a good teacher you must be learning yourself.

There is so much to be grateful for in spite of the challenges. The Lord has now blessed us with $101,000 for the church property! We have crossed the halfway mark! We love you all and thank you for your continued prayers and support! We will keep you all updated….

Serving Him,
Eustace and Tracie Kariuki
