Moore Family to Portugal

Moore Family to Portugal
Hello and happy Tuesday!

Since our last note, we have had a bummer few weeks. Our family (and others in the church) took another turn with COVID and missed out on several things. Our Father’s Day celebration was canceled as well as our church picnic the following Sunday. Ana had reached out for us to meet to discuss salvation/baptism, which also had to be postponed until she was feeling well enough.  It has been rescheduled for this week so we ask that you would pray for her and that the Holy Spirit would continue working.

Please also pray for a couple in our church that Satan is heavily attacking. Stelio and Brenda are a young couple with lots of potential. She came to us as a believer, looking for somewhere to call a church home where her husband, who was a baby Christian, might grow. Over the past couple of years, we have become close with them as Beau has discipled Stelio weekly and he has grown in his faith and knowledge of the Bible. In fact, he and Beau have been working together on a lesson series for Stelio to teach. We are VERY excited about that prospect. But recently, his wife took a new job, moved out, and declared she was done with their marriage, somewhat without warning. We were all shocked, most of all Stelio. We aren’t sure what’s going on since she has basically ghosted all of us, but we continue to pray for her and Stelio. Please join us. We are hurting for them, and also for our church as this is a disappointing step backwards.

We are grateful we were able to get together with several other missionary families yesterday, some traveling from several hours away to celebrate the Fourth of July. It was a sweet time of fellowship and gratitude for each other and for our country, for s’mores, root beer floats, and relish (thanks to a closet sized store in downtown Lisbon that imports a few American goodies 😁). We hope you also had a great celebration of God’s blessings. Have a great week!
