We want to begin this month’s letter by praising the Lord for the renewal of our UK Visas! We can’t thank everyone enough for your prayers and financial gifts that helped make this all possible. It truly has been a miracle of God that they were processed and approved so quickly.
As the government guidelines surrounding the coronavirus begin to be lifted, we were finally able to have our much awaited baptisms. That being said, we rejoice to share with you that over the course of two Sunday night services, we were blessed to baptize 17 and have an attendance high of 86! There were several in attendance who were unsaved and heard other people’s stories of salvation as well as a clear presentation of the Gospel. Please pray that we would see more people come to Christ as a result of the seed that was sown.
Along with these 17 that were added unto the church, we also had three more who decided to become members of Ebenezer Baptist Church by transfer of church membership.
On another exciting note, we recently had a family of 8 start attending. The husband, Sam, who had already been saved, asked us to pray for his wife, May, that she too would come to Christ for salvation. After coming to services for several weeks, we were able to talk with her and explain to her what the Bible has to say about salvation and we are so thrilled to tell you that May trusted Christ as her Saviour! Praise the Lord! Please pray for her as she begins to live her new life in Christ.
To wrap up our time of praise, we also want to share with you that Hank, our family mascot, celebrated his 9th birthday in style as he had his first taste of puppy dog ice cream!
As we conclude this month’s letter, we want to give you an update on Missy’s mom’s health. First of all, we want to say thank you so much for your faithful prayers as well as your words of encouragement. The mass on her kidney is cancer and the planned treatment is to surgically remove the kidney. That being said, we are going to need to make a quick trip back home to see her. Once again, God has worked miraculously to make the way possible for this to all happen so quickly. Despite all the challenges with international travel in and out of the UK, we were able to book a flight out on June 9. The Lord has provided a great team of UK missionaries as well as nationals to help oversee the ministry at EBC while we are away. In order to fly internationally, we are required to have a negative COVID test within three days of travel. Please pray that our test on Monday, June 7, will come back negative. Our plan is to return to Wales on August 16. Due to the nature of this trip as well as the limited amount of time we have to be away, our primary goal is to be a help and support to family as well as report to our sending church, Cherry Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. Thank you so much for your prayers.
Serving Christ Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton, and Isabella
