Orricks to Wales

Orricks to Wales

Greetings from hot and humid Springfield, Missouri! July was a busy month spent with catching up with friends and family. Along with these wonderful blessings, the kids were also able to go to camp. Let’s begin this month’s letter by sharing some of those blessings with you.

When our kids were only 4 and 5, they got their first taste of church camp and since then, it has been the highlight of each and every year; that is before the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, camp in Wales has been closed the last two years. So when we knew that we were going to be able to come to the US this summer, the kids were quick to make sure that they were going to be able to go to camp. As always, it was an amazing week and we are praising the Lord for the one teenager that made the decision to trust Christ as their Saviour!

After camp, we once again hit the road and headed to the St. Louis area to visit with Richie’s brother and his family as well as report to a supporting church. It was so good to spend time with family and the kids really enjoyed getting a chance to see their cousins again. On that Sunday, we were all able to go to church together.

As we enter into the month of August, we would ask that you please continue to pray for our church back in Wales. We have been so blessed to have such a wonderful team of UK missionaries and nationals to help facilitate as well as oversee the work while we are away.

Please also continue to pray for Missy’s mom and her kidney cancer. Her heart stress test has been done and the doctors have set the date for the surgery. The current plan is to remove the kidney on August 16.

Speaking of August 16, we are also scheduled to return to the UK on that date. In order to travel internationally, we will all be required to take a specific COVID test and for the results to be negative just 72 hours prior to our flight. Along with this, due to the current government guidelines in Wales, we will be required to quarantine for 10 days after our arrival as well as test negative for COVID on days 2 and 8 of our return. Please pray for negative tests and for all of our travels to go smoothly.

Serving Christ Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton, and Isabella
