September has certainly been one to remember as we have so many great and glorious things God has done to share with you! First and foremost, we were able to get settled back in from having the 10 day quarantine once we arrived back in the UK. During that time, we were able to get over jet lag as well as get caught up with the many things that had been placed on hold while we were away. We are pleased to share that we were released back to freedom and have been running nonstop ever since!
Early in the month, we received an invitation from the local town council to participate in the community wide fair. This large scale event was the first of any kind that has been allowed to happen since March 2020, when our first COVID lockdown took place. Needless to say we were excited and honored to be involved. The attendance for the day was amazing. We were able to connect with so many people and God rewarded our faithful witness.
The following Sunday was our annual “Back on Track Sunday” and we had over 80 in attendance with several first time visitors, who were invited from the fair outreach! Services that day were so encouraging and several heard the Gospel for the very first time. One of those was a woman by the name of Betsy, who had come with her mother and two children. After the services, Missy was able to explain in more detail what it meant to be saved. Though she was wasn’t ready to make that decision, she did listen and took some information to read. The following Sunday, Betsy came back to church with her family and after the services; she spoke with Missy again, and prayed to receive Christ as her Saviour! Praise the Lord!
Another encouraging thing to share regarding the “Back on Track Sunday” was the blessing of having our very first “baby dedication.” Chris and Steph Jenkinson, along with their daughter Bo, were one of the first families we were able to reach with the Gospel soon after arriving in Wales. They were recently blessed with a baby boy that they named, Teddy. On that Sunday, they dedicated baby Teddy to the Lord.
Along with all this exciting news, we also started a monthly lady’s Bible study that had over 20 women in attendance and we had a men’s breakfast with 19 men present. These are ministries that we are planning to build on in the months to come.
As we conclude this month’s letter, we ask that you please pray for the salvation of a man named Phil, who has been coming to church with his two daughters the past couple of weeks as a result of our outreach event. Please pray for our annual Harvest Outreach opportunity that will be taking place at the end of October. Also, please pray for our family as well as our church family as we continue to faithfully serve our Saviour and shine the light of Jesus.
Serving Christ Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton, and Isabella
