Orricks to Wales

This past month picked up where the previous had left off, with the special visit from our sending Pastor, Dennis Jennings, his wife, Jana, and his oldest granddaughter, Melana. It was such an encouraging time to be with family; to be around the people, who led us to Christ back in 2001, who have so closely and consistently discipled us in our walk with the Lord.

As the month kicked off, we were once again so blessed to be able to take our youth group up the coast and meet with another youth group for a little fun and fellowship on the beach.

Speaking of blessings, that Sunday, we had a first time visitor come to our services as the result of an invitation from a friend. The following Sunday, Ian returned and wanted to talk after the services about being saved. Richie and Ryan, shared with Ian God’s plan of salvation and we are praising the Lord that he trusted Christ as his Savior! (Ian is pictured on the right)

The next Sunday was Father’s Day and we celebrated the day with a good ole back garden barbecue. Several men from the church brought their grills and prepared all the meat before the services (pictured). Following the service, while enjoying the food and fellowship, we were able to talk with James’s dad, Phil, about salvation. Most of the Phil’s family; his wife, Meg, his daughter, Claire, his son, James, and his grandson, Graysen, have all been saved over the past year and we had been praying for Phil. After speaking with him, he too prayed to be saved! Praise the Lord! (Pictured with some of his family)

Another exciting item of news to share involves our discipleship ministry. We started the second class of our discipleship course called, “Victorious Christian Living.” The class takes place on Wednesday nights and we have been so encouraged to see over 20 in attendance each week.

Along with all these blessings, we were also able to celebrate our birthdays this past month!

Looking ahead to the next month, we ask that you please pray for all the different ministry opportunities that await us. We will be hosting a group of 23 from Big Spring, Texas early on in the month. They will be helping us with our largest outreach to date, as we will be canvassing our community with thousands of church invitations/Gospel tracts, walking with our church in the annual community parade, helping with a public school assembly, and being a part of our midweek services. Soon after their departure, we will be loading the buses and heading off to camp with our good friends, the Salmon family, missionaries to Thailand. Shane Salmon is the Senior Camp Speaker this year and the group going from all the UK churches is the largest we have ever had at this venue. We cannot thank everyone enough for their financial and sacrificial support of this year’s camp. We could not make this all happen without you. Please pray for many souls to be saved and young lives surrendered to serve our Savior.

Serving Christ Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton, and Isabella
