Orricks to Wales

Orricks to Wales

To start the month of January off, we had our Friday Youth Night with another Baptist Church up the coast from us. These activities have been a great encouragement and help in building a core youth ministry that is steadily growing.

On the following Sunday, after the morning service, we were blessed to share God’s plan of salvation with one of the children in our church named Grayson. He has been attending church with his mother, grandmother, and uncle for the past several months. He has been soaking in all the lessons and asking lots of questions. It has been so wonderful see the impact the Gospel has had on this family as the mother, grandmother, and uncle have all been recently saved. After speaking with Grayson about his own need to be saved, he too trusted Christ as his Saviour! Praise the Lord! Speaking of Grayson’s uncle, James decided to follow the Lord in believer’s baptism that evening. Now he, along with his sister and mother, have all been saved and baptized and we look forward to the day when Grayson is ready and willing to take his step of obedience to be baptized.

Along with this wonderful news, at the conclusion of the baptism service, we were thrilled to sit down with a mother and daughter, Dawn and Elin, and speak with them in more detail about being saved. They both have been attending the church faithfully since last October, following the funeral of Morgan, which was Elin’s boyfriend for the past five years. We have been praying for them and ministering to them throughout this time as they have been grieving the loss. We are so over joyed to share that they both received Christ as their Saviour! Praise the Lord!

On the following Wednesday, we kicked off our “7 Steps to Joy” Discipleship Class. This class takes place before the Wednesday Prayer and Bible Study service and has been a great way for us to help equip the many new believers with seven essential principles regarding their new faith in Christ. The class currently has 15 attending. Please pray for these young Christians to grow in the grace and knowledge of God’s Word.

As we wrap up this month’s letter, we ask that you please pray for us as we begin to make preparations for the renewal of our Visa’s in May and June. This past week, we had to make our first trip to the US Embassy in London in order to renew the kid’s passports for this upcoming process. We are coming up on 5 years of being here in Wales and will be eligible to apply for our “Indefinite to Remain” Visas, which will allow us to remain in the UK indefinitely along with other benefits. The application process is tedious and extremely expensive. The overall fees are going to cost us approximately $15,000.00. Again, we please ask you to pray for this significant step in our ministry and would greatly appreciate any financial help in meeting this need.

Serving Christ Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton, and Isabella
