SEMINAR: DEALING WITH GRIEF

Pastor Gabriel and his wife Gabriela taught a seminar in our church entitled, “My Tears: Conversations about Grief.” They have helped many having lost their two year old son to cancer. The services were held on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Several people came who had never been in our church service. In attendance was a woman who recently had lost her husband to cancer. Another woman lost her son when he protected her during a robbery in a supermarket. These two ladies gave a very positive response to the seminar and the teaching. Everyone at some time in life grieve. “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 24:18.” As a Christian we can come to the Lord and find the comfort that helps. We are thankful for the opportunity to share the gospel with people even through their grief.

The 17th of June we hosted a men’s meeting at our church. Three other churches were invited. The theme was “Men on Fire, Don’t Quit Burning.” “Quench not the Spirit. I Thessalonians 5:19 ” It was a blessing to see so many men in this meeting. My Son-in-Law made friends with Fernando who told him, “don’t invite me to church.” After a long time praying for him and the friendship that Esteban established with him, he came to the meeting. Daniel has been coming to our men’s meetings for a long time but is unsaved. We are praying for his salvation. There were men from other churches who have not heard the gospel. The pastors very much enjoyed the service. They want to continue with a yearly meeting using the same theme. We enjoyed receiving and ministering to over fifty men. We are praying for the men in our church and thankful for their help with the meeting.
