Sarah Bradley to Croatia

I have been in Croatia a little over a month and time has flown!

I have been in Croatia a little over a month and time has flown. I am excited for all the Lord has done in the last few weeks and I am looking forward to what He will continue to do. I feel as if I am finally beginning to settle back into the swings of things. My first few days were not without some trials and inconveniences, such as, taking the wrong bus on a Sunday morning, hot water heater issues, trouble accessing my online banking because it was still tied to my state-side phone number, language barriers, and homesickness. The Enemy truly knows the right ways and perfect moments to attack. But God is greater than all of this and is continuing to work in mighty ways on my behalf.

Many of you were praying with me for the timely arrival of the document from the US department of state. I needed this document to complete my visa process. I am thankful for each of you who prayed.

The document arrived just in the nick of time. Praise the Lord, now my visa has been approved! I received my work permit and a paper copy of my Croatian ID at the end of June. I will receive the actual card sometime in July. It is such a peace of mind knowing this stressful process is almost complete and I have the liberty to stay and work here in Croatia.

The first full week of June, a group of people arrived from the States to assist in a 6-day scripture campaign. During the first four days, we distributed 17,000 John and Romans. We also handed out 21,000 invitations for two events we hosted in the Špansko (sh-pan-sko) and Volovčica (vol-ov-chi-tsa) districts of Zagreb. During the events we had games, face painting, balloons, and a bounce house for the kids; but most importantly, this was an opportunity to share the gospel, distribute Bibles, and invite people to church.

Petra, Madi, Elena, Adrijana, Sofia, Mya, Roberto, and Ivor are a few of the people I was able to speak with since they all spoke some English. Each of these that I spoke with accepted a Free Bible to take home, it is my prayer that God’s word and the seeds that were sewn will make a great impact on each of their lives. Between the two events we gave away 187 Bibles and had approximately 550-750 people in attendance. Please pray with me that these family centered events will be the catalyst for growth in the Children’s ministries at New Life Baptist Church.

Our last two days of the campaign, we made the five- hour drive to the city of Split, where we assisted veteran missionaries John and Torri Leslie with their Bible Conference. We distributed approximately 8,000 gospel tracts and flyers for the Bible Conference. Twenty-five visitors attended the Bible Conference and glory to God; four People made the decision to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour! We are excited for all that God did and is continuing to do. Please pray for receptive hearts and minds, protection for work that has been done, and the seeds that have been sown. Thanks again for all your love, prayers, and support.

Musings of a Single Lady In Missions

I have enjoyed hosting Hope and Faith Rolen for the last month. They have been such a blessing, and I am going to be sad to see them return home. I want to extend an invitation to the ladies out there. If you ever want to visit Europe, you will always have a place to stay, here in Croatia. A journey on a mission field will greatly impact your perspective and your prayers for Missions.
