Mark and Sue Schladenhauffen to South Africa

February 14, 2021

Dear Pastor and Church,

This is just an update from our last prayer letter of January / February 2021.

I mentioned in last letter of no church gatherings because of the second wave of the COVID-19 which hit hard here in South Africa back in December.  Glad to say we are back in church as the no gatherings of church services was lifted this month (February).  The church people are excited to be back in church and worshiping together.  The church planned an out-reach service in the community on February 13th and had a good group from the church to help.  There was a good response from the community of people listening to the singing and preaching.  On our side, the church people maintained social distancing, sanitizing and mandatory masks.

Concerning my being positive of COVID-19, I am glad to say I have recovered!  I am still being cautious on how much I do.  Thankful during our isolation of two weeks in January that Sue did not catch the virus.  I am also very thankful that my virus was mild and did not have any complications with my breathing or chest problems.  God is good!

Once again thank you for your prayers and continued support.

Serving in South Africa,

Mark and Sue
