Jacob and Shay Shipman to Germany

Shay and I both hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with friends and family. We also would like to thank all of you who gave us gifts for the Christmas season. It was definitely a blessing and a huge encouragement to us as well.

If you can recall, I asked you to please be in prayer for P., a man who has been attending our service faithfully since November of 2022. On January 14th, 2023, P. accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. What a glorious day for him! He expressed to me that he was concerned that his past would keep him from the “Free Gift”, but after showing him from God’s Word that the “Free Gift” is for every man and that if you had to work for the “Free Gift”, it wouldn’t be a gift, P. asked Christ to save him. After a few tears of joy, P. wanted to take a picture to commemorate the day. Satan has definitely been attacking him and making him doubt the fact that Christ could not only save him but that He also has given him victory over his sin, worries of the past and so much more. Please be in prayer for our dear brother in Christ, P.

Since P. trusted Christ, we are now able to move forward with discipleship. Last Wednesday was our “First Discipleship Class” and it went very well. As you can see in the picture, K. and P. both have decided to take the course as they desire to grow and

learn more about their faith. Please also pray for this class as we will be covering a multitude of topics, one of which is Baptism. They both have been raised in a very strong Catholic community and have been taught many fallacies on Baptism. We will be covering what Biblical Baptism is and I’m praying that they will understand and see the need to follow the Lord in believers baptism. This is a very tough topic in Germany, but they are both very teachable and desire to grow. This is just so exciting to me to see God work here and more specifically, in these individual’s lives. Both of these individuals have a strong burden to see their spouses also accept Christ. What a wonderful sign of “New Birth” in Christ. My heart is full of joy as I write you this letter and we are so encouraged that God would use us here as He is. Thank you for all your prayers for us and our ministry, we know that had an impact on recent events here in Germany. We love each and every one of you and thank God for your continuous support of our ministry.
