Church’s 8th Anniversary
What an amazing thing to look back these last eight years and see what God has done here in Kasese. Back then, there were no saved people, no land, no building and now to see what God has done and is doing in these eight years!
The church continues to preach the Gospel, see people get saved, baptize them, disciple them, and start other preaching points and churches in other villages. Praise the Lord for faithful men and women.
2nd Boda Riders Conference
In April we were able to host another Boda Riders Conference. We gave out 200 invitation cards to the boda riders (men who ride motorcycles as public transportation) and we had a total of 150 in attendance at this event.
We played many games with them and their motorcycles. For the winners, we gave out spare parts gift cards and fuel gift cards. We had the traffic police come and address safety issues and regulations for the riders. Most importantly, we also preached the Word of God to them. Praise the Lord, three got saved on that day! We also fed them a very nice meal and then gave them John and Romans, gospel tracts and a reflector vest with the church name on it.
We thank the Lord for the testimony our church has with the care and concern for these boda riders.
Family Update
I am so thankful for today’s technology that allows us to video call the college kids and stay connected! Marcus and Kendra are nearing the end of their first year. Kirsten and Kimberly continue to be very involved in the church ministries here. What a blessing to watch your children serve the Lord!
Still More Weddings
We had two more weddings in the past two months. One took place in the village of Kyinyayobyo and the other in Kasese town. We thank all the churches and individuals who gave “goats” so that these couples could do right. Praise the Lord that through your giving we were able to give 82 goats as dowry for the Johnson and Jennifer many weddings in these last few months.
