A New Church
After a few years of soul-winning, discipling, teaching, preaching and training we have officially opened the Kyinyayobyo (chēēn-yå-yō-byō) Independent Baptist Church. On June 18, we had the charter service with 15 members signing the constitution. What a blessing that was and what a testimony to the village there. We pray God’s blessing on His new church. Please pray for the new church members as they strive to serve the Lord faithfully.
A New Couple
On the same day as the charter signing for the new church, we also had a wedding. Once the charter service was over, we immediately started the wedding ceremony. We praise the Lord for the testimony of David and Stella. Pray for them in their new life together.
A New Bible College Term
We are continuing to teach the Word of God to all who will listen. We started a new term for the students. In Kasese, we have 17 students going through Baptist Church History as well as Homiletics for the men. In Ribweryakyona, we have five students going through Bible Doctrines Two. In Kyinyayobyo, we have five students going through Old Testament Chronological Two and the book of Acts.
A New Graduate
Our daughter, Kirsten, had the opportunity to celebrate her high school graduation with another missionary daughter in our capitol, Kampala. It has been exciting to watch Kirsten become involved in the various ministries here, but we are equally excited to watch her grow closer to the Lord in this next phase of life. She will travel with our family for most of our next furlough while taking online college courses before attending Bible college in the fall of 2024. Please keep her in your prayers as she seeks God’s will for her life. Pray for us as goodbyes are never easy.
A New TBI
We had our biggest Tri-Annual Bible Institute in May with over 90 in attendance. We taught about the Christian Home and were blessed to hear the comments about how they were going to apply what they learned when they went back home.
