On October 29th, my wife’s parents came for a short visit, which was a blessing. We were able to get away for a few days and enjoyed being together. It was their first time traveling this far outside of the United States, and hopefully, it won’t be their last. The boys enjoyed spending time with their “Papa” and “Nonnie” and didn’t want them to leave. Although we know not many missionaries have family visit them on the field very often, we are incredibly thankful the Lord allowed them to come.
It has been busy here for the last couple of months. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching in the Bible College and working in the different ministries at Westside Baptist Church of Dipolog City. The classes I teach have helped me increase my knowledge of the Scriptures and our Savior. I am very thankful and appreciative to Missionary Bruce Rice for allowing us to be a part of the bible college and the church.
On November 20th, Westside Baptist Church celebrated its 20th year anniversary. We had a fantastic day with many visitors and out-of-town guests. We showed a short video of what God has done since the beginning of this church plant. Souls have come to Christ, and lives have been changed because of the work here. What an inspiration it was for us as we look forward to the future.
As this year closes and next year is on the horizon, I have sought God’s guidance on where and when to start a church. God has answered some specific prayer requests, and many details still need to be worked out, but I am excited to see how the Lord works. By God’s grace, we hope to start a church by this time next year. Please pray with us for God’s wisdom and guidance on this matter.
