On June 13th, at 7:15 in the morning, we boarded a plane in Dipolog City, Philippines, and after a 26-hour trip we arrived in Dallas, Texas. We praise the Lord for His blessings during our journey. The boys did so well and slept most of the time. Our family was able to meet us at the airport, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing them again.
We will be in the States for a few months on a short furlough for the following reasons: raise additional support, report to churches, get some medical & dental work done, see family, and rest. We have enjoyed being at our home church and feel refreshed and revived.
When we arrived in the Philippines in 2021, we didn’t know what God had planned for us or how He would grow our faith during our time in Molave and Dipolog City working with veteran missionary Bruce Rice & family; but looking back now, I can see God’s hand at work in our lives, growing us and molding us. We are so thankful for the Rices helping us transition, allowing us to be involved in the Bible College and church ministries. We learned much working with them and believe it will impact our future ministries.
Lord willing, we plan on returning to the Philippines in December where we will begin our transition to start a work in a town about seven hours away from where we are now. Please pray that God will already be working in the hearts of the people there and for the logistics of moving and finding a meeting place. We are excited about this next chapter in our ministry.
If you read my last letter and remembered to pray for Ulderico, thank you. After sharing with him what the Bible says about baptism, he decided to get baptized. He was excited even though he had difficulty getting in and out of the baptistry due to his health. I have included a picture of his baptism below. Please continue to pray for him and his family. He always asks me to help him pray that his three children and grandchildren get saved. Please help me pray to that end.
